Torn from the darker margins of Animalia Rationalia et Insecta (Ignis), this corset carries the hush of wings stilled by time.
Folio No. IV: Avium Obscura captures the moment when the birds stopped singing — a page overgrown with forgotten species, sketched in unnatural detail and vibrant decay. Emerald-throated songbirds, ink-black moorhens, and wary-eyed creatures gather across the satin, caught mid-motion, as if their flight was interrupted by a spell.
The corset’s silhouette recalls an Edwardian study gown: sweeping over the hip with a cinched waist, and finished with a softly ruffled neckline — like plumage half-unfurled. Steel-boned and structured for historical shaping, the front clasps with aged silver fastenings, reminiscent of ornithological cabinets and preserved secrets.
Each corset is cut from a different part of the print, making every piece a one-of-a-kind specimen from the archive.

Inner materials: 100% thick cotton, corset lining materials.

Bones: from 12 spiral steel bones, busk, and steel bones at the back of the corset (18+ steel bones in general, depending upon size). The back is covered by a modesty panel.
Each corset has its own individual cover.
The size of the corsets reveals real measurements of the waist of the corset when it is mostly tightened. The back of the corset has 5,5 inches of modesty panel. Corset gives up to 15 cm tightening, so choose size minus at least 2-3 inches from your real waist sizes (we recommend 4 inches). After you place an order send us your natural measurements for custom size. After you place an order send us your natural measurements for custom size: underbust, natural waist, waist of the corset, and hip bones. Please add 1-2 inches if you are planning to wear it on your clothes.
